We often view mountains as insurmountable obstacles that separate people, but there are often routes that cross these spaces, connecting people on either side. This trail aims to recuperate that sense of friendship that has always existed between the people of Maçanet de Cabrenys and Reiners, and by extension between Northern Catalonia and Empordà.

The route that begins in Maçanet crosses Les Salines massif to the Collada dels Pous (1,239 m), the Roc de Fraussa and ends in the village of Reiners. The route includes culturally relevant sights, including Cabrera Castle, the Les Salines refuge, the Church of Sant Vicenç and Reiners Castle, as well as natural attractions: a range of different habitats, climbing through different biological conditions that give rise to vegetation that changes and adapts at each elevation, as well as wildlife characteristic of these yet untamed spots. Terraces and cabins are passed along the way, evidence of the economic activity that dots the mountain.
