The itinerary starts off at l'Hostalnou de la Vall de Bianya, signpost G174, where there is plenty of parking space, along sith a digital information point and an Itinerannia notice board, from which we can enhance our information.

We start our hike following the signs to «Santa Margarida de Bianya», crossing the N-260 and the Joaquim Burch square. On leaving the nucleus of l'Hostalnou we go along the Santa Margarida road and after crossing the Can Dolores bridge we come to a dirt track that passes below «Can Salamó», crossing VB12, and continue on to Santa Margarida. After climbing a small hill, the track rejoins the road. At this spot we are presented with the Santa Margarida church directly in front of us.

To our left we have the Colomer, Coma and Pujals manor houses and to our right the Santa Margarida plane. We continue our hike through cultivated fields. The track runs alongside the Teixidor manor house and leads us to Santa Margarida de Bianya, signpost VB13, from where, there are spectacular views of the valley. We are able to visit and enjoy the beauty of the church of Santa Margarida; a romanesque construction, which, even after the eartquakes of the 15th century, preserves a large part of its orgiinal architecture that dates back to the 12th century.

To our left there is the Guitart manor house, situated at the skirt of the Sant Miquel del Mont hills. We depart from Santa Margarida along the path that pases alongside the foundry. The path enters a wood full of oak trees which are hundreds of years old until we come to the track that rises to the spring at the Can Xec Torre (tower) and manor house, signpost VB14. At this point we bear to the right to reach the «Torre de Sant Pere».

We follow the dirt track unitl we come to the VB15 signpost, where we again find the road. If we turn to the left it is 35 minutes walk to Sant Pere Despuig. If we continue the direction indicated to the right, also along the road, we can again observe the Santa Margarida church and a large part of the distance we have travelled.

We pass alongside the «Gasch» manor house, until we come to the junctionwith the N-260 road, signpost VB16. We cross the road to enter the hamlet of l'Hostalnou, passing in front of «la Riba», until we reach the starting point of our hike.
