he Brugent River is a natural area that has preserved its habitats in an excellent condition and is home to a rich variety of wildlife and plant species. For this reason, it has been designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) within the Natura 2000 network and has formed part of Catalunya’s Protected Natural Areas Network since 1985.

Since the summer of 2020, and during periods of high visitor numbers, access to the gorgs has been managed through a day ticket with advance booking, which grants access to the entire Brugent Protected Natural Area. To make your booking, please visit www.espaiprotegitdelbrugent.cat/en/prior-reservation.

If you prefer a shorter walk or have less time available, you will also find other routes on our website that allow you to visit just some of the gorgs. This means you can choose the itinerary that best suits the time you have available, your level of experience or simply how far you feel like walking.

The route begins at the Gorgs (Natural pools)  Information Point, located at the beginning of the Cogolls road, in the municipality of les Planes d’Hostoles.

In the car park at the information point, you will find the Itinerànnia junction PH5, where the route begins. The first part of the itinerary takes you to the gorgs within the protected area that belong to the municipality of Sant Feliu de Pallerols. Follow the signs towards the gorg de la Mola.

At the end of this section of pavement, you will see the cemetery on your right and reach another junction, PH6. Turn right and continue behind the cemetery.

The path leads to another junction, PH2 Bosc d’en Llober, where you should turn left, following the signs to gorg de la Mola, gorg d’en Valls and gorg d’en Boix.

Following the greenway, you will reach junction SFP3, which marks the access path to gorg de la Mola. Here you can visit cova de la Torre and gorg de la Mola.

Continue to the right along a path which, after crossing a track, leads to the trail descending towards the gorg. Cross the bridge marking the entrance to the trail and continue down to the cave. From here, turn left and climb gently along a narrow path that will lead you to the gorg.

After your visit, retrace your steps to the greenway. Continue towards Sant Feliu de Pallerols until you reach junction SFP2 Gorg d’en Valls on your left. A wooden bridge marks the beginning of the trail. Along the route, you will find several wooden steps. Please take extra care, as the path includes some steep sections.

After visiting the gorg, return to the greenway and continue towards Sant Feliu de Pallerols. The last gorg in this section is gorg d’en Boix, also known as Miami. The turning leading to it, at junction SFP1, is on your right, just before a wooden bridge.

Follow the grassy path beneath the bridge, which provides easy access to the area. On your right, you will find font d’en Boix and a series of footbridges for crossing the river; on your left is gorg d’en Boix.

After your visit, retrace your steps along the entire greenway back to junction PH2 Bosc d’en Llober. From here, you will begin exploring the gorgs located within the municipality of les Planes d’Hostoles.

From this junction, turn right towards gorg de la Plana. Pass behind the cemetery and return to junction PH6.

At this point, cross the road with great care and take the path on the right, which leads to gorg de la Plana. It is very important to follow the yellow waymarking paint throughout the route.

After visiting the gorg, retrace your steps to junction PH6, cross the road again and continue towards gorg del Molí dels Murris. Follow the same short section back to junction PH2 Bosc d’en Llober, then continue towards Molí dels Murris.

The next junction is PH7 Carretera de Cogolls 2. Follow the road for a short distance to the left until you reach PH4 Vista Alegre, where you should turn left again.

It is important to keep an eye on the yellow waymarks of the Itinerànnia trail network. Walk along the left-hand pavement until you reach the PH3 Carretera de Cogolls signpost, where you should turn right. Continue along a forest track that crosses the riera de Cogolls, then follow the stream until you reach a wooden staircase on your left, which leads directly down to gorg del Molí dels Murris.

After your visit, retrace your steps to junction PH4 and continue towards gorg de Can Poeti.

At the end of this section, you will reach another junction, G82 La Casica, where you should turn right. The path leads back to the greenway and to junction G83. Continue to the left, staying on the greenway, until you reach junction PH1 on your right. Go down the steps to the river, where you will find gorg de Can Poeti.

After your visit, retrace your steps to the greenway and continue to the right.

You will arrive at the multi-purpose area, where there is a car park and junction G156. To continue towards gorg de Santa Margarida, cross the road carefully and rejoin the greenway.

Pass the el Jonquer picnic area and continue along the greenway. A little further on, you will pass beneath pont de la Torre, where junction G153 indicates that you are very close to gorg de Santa Margarida.

A few metres further on, on your left, you will find junction PH8, which marks the path leading down to the gorg. This is a narrow woodland trail, so it is important to follow the yellow waymarks at all times.

After your visit, return along the same path to the road, opposite the multi-purpose area.

We recommend returning to the information point by following the greenway as far as junction PH7 Carretera de Cogolls 2. Although this option is slightly longer, it passes through a much shadier area.

Alternatively, you can follow the pavement along the road back to the information point, located at the beginning of the Cogolls road.
