The Taga summit, with its 2 040 m above sea level, is the highest point of Serra Cavallera and a truly vantage point to enjoy the Eastern Pyrenees and the different Pre-Pyrenees mountain
ranges. Please remember to keep your pets leashed at all times as all this route is a pasture area.
The starting point of this linear route is font de Santa Catarineta R124 Ribes de Freser - paseo Santa Caterina, in Ribes de Freser and it climbs the Taga summit by the most classical route in a bit more than 3 hours. The path doesn’t give much rest and it raises strongly from the very beginning.
After 35 minutes walking, you reach coll de Manter R126 by skirting the bunkers. Keep going up by a forestry road stretch that gets into the Ardenya Forest until reaching into plans de Conivella, in the sign RF6.
At this point, leave the Itinnerània path and, by following the yellow signs keep the trail until the summit (1h and 40 min approx.)Turn left by following the electrical fence and enjoy the magnificent views over the Segadell valley. With a great physical demand but without technical difficulty, and always on a well outlined path, keep going up until reaching into the flat crest stretch. Catch your breath and enjoy the views of the summit and its surroundings.
Go back down by the same way.
