This route is a trip to the history of mining in Vall de Ribes and the villages that grew around the mining activity. We will visit 4 of the most representative mines in the valley.

Circular route with the starting point at the chapel of Sant Cristòfol, sign R122, in Ribes de Freser. From here, go to collet de Segura, sign R120. At this point, cross the fence to keep going up until the path junction. Take left and follow the yellow signs to first arrive easily at Can Paloca Mine, and then at the road to Ventolà. Walk along this road and through the village of Ventolà RF10 and, after having past the last town houses, turn right to start a long flat stretch until you find the path on your right, sign RF9 torrent de la Fernanda, that leads to the Mina Fernanda. Keep going down and reach the junction of mina del Torrent de les Fites RF8. Make a short round walk (10 minutes approx.) to visit it.

After the visit, keep going down for about 40 minutes until the sign RF7 can Baldric, follow the direction to Ribes de Freser and arrive at Batet R119. Leave the town by the access road and take a turnoff on your right that leads to Mina Possons and later to collet de Segura R120; from this point, go back to Ribes by following the initial path.
