- Vall de Ribes routes
This route leaves the town of Serrat, belonging to the municipality of Queralbs. It is a high mountain village mainly dedicated to cattle breeding. Walking around the streets you can see old bread ovens attached to the walls of the houses.
The start of the route is in Serrat at the intersection of Itinerànnia R117 where we find the first sign of the route, we continue up the street we pass by a source where we can load water and after a few meters we find another intersection Q9 Serrat- Els Agolins.
At this point we can follow the route in both directions, we recommend going left, the technical difficulty of the route is in this first section, it is a stony path with a steep gradient. The path we follow is a cattle path bordered on both sides by dry stone walls. We cross several yarns for the cattle that we have to close again. We enter a black pine forest until we reach a forest track, where we find the Q10 Camí dels Collets crossing.
To get to Collets we have to go to the left and take a stretch of flat track with great views.
Arriving at the Collets we have panoramic views from several points: Queralbs, the Totlomon rocks, the Freser Gorges that descend from the Coma de Vaca valley, the Balandrau, the Torreneules and the Coma del Clot. Further to the left, the Puigmal stands out, the route of the Núria rack and the valley of the Font de l'home Mort.
To return to Serrat, take the first section along the flat track until you reach the Q10 junction again. At this point we could return to Serrat by the same way up, but the large difference in level makes it a difficult way down and that is why we suggest going left. We take the first section along the track and pay attention to the yellow markers, after about a kilometer, they must to go to the right, follow this path, between pine trees, always paying attention to the yellow markers.
We see to our left between meadows a cabin and a little further on we find the source of the Cortaló. The path continues down with magnificent views of the village of Serrat. We keep going down until we reach the town and down its alleys we finish the route.
