This route takes us through all of the twelve castles that used to be part of the old town of Llers, which have been mentioned over the centuries and many of which have very few remains. Three of the castles are outside the current municipal area of Llers (castles of Molins, Montmarí and les Escaules).
The start of the route is in Llers on the Albanyà road, in front of Plaça del Ramal where we find the AE50 Llers junction that leads us to the square and Carrer de la Força, wheer on the left we can go up the stairs to see the Castell de Llers.
Once we have seen the castle, we will continue along this street until we find the LLE1 Castell de Destorrent junction and we will see the castle just around the corner, at the beginning of Carrer Sant Sebastià. At the end of this street we can see the remains of Castell de Bellver, we reach the road and in front we can see the remains of Castell de Cabrera.
Now we go to the left, take a small stretch of road to the neighborhood of la Vall, before reaching the neighborhood, following the yellow markings, we will climb a path that will take us to the neighborhood, where we will visit the remains of the Castell Desgüell or de la Vall, following the signs, we will go down the stairs and return to the road. We go to the right and take the track on the left after a few meters, we must be alert to the paint signs. We will walk for about 400 meters until we leave it to take a path on the left that will take us to the Castell de la Pujada or the Sarraí.
Once visited we will follow the path that will take us to the remains of the Castell dels Gorgs. Following the marks we climb up until we find a track, we will go to the right and this track will take us to the main track. We turn left and following this track we reach Camí de la Muga. We find the PM1 junction, and continue in the direction of Castell de Molins. After a few meters we find the PM2 Castell de Molins junction, we turn left to see the remains of the castle. We step back and continue now towards the castle of Montmarí.
