The path starts from the Albanyà road, where the public car parks are, in the town of San Lorenzo de la Muga.

This route runs from the village to the Sant Jordi chapel, where there is a fantastic viewpoint with views of the bottom end of the reservoir and the Empordà plain leading to the sea. 

The track is a path with yellow marks of the Itinerànnia network of trails, the return can be done from can Corones to the other side and is unmarked. Following the track, there is no loss.
